Not only do mainstream musicians not deserve the fame they get, but they don't even aspire to have talent. They are all about image, and fashion, not about art. Although I will say this, there are countless underground groups that are talentless, contrived garbage, but it seems less prominent.

The same can be applied to films as well. The films that are in theaters nowadays are crap, because they are made to make money, not respect film as an art form

@BlackMetalerWolf because they only have a superficial interest in music, that's why they just listen to whatever turns up on the radio or happens to be high in the charts. they'll never be interested in anything else. most people who listen to underground music like metal or jazz are much more passionate about it.

@arbzk07 No, what I'm saying is that many people, in their entire lives, never come across this music. I'm not saying that you can't like mainstream music, by all means go ahead, doesn't affect me. The underground/less known music scene is massive, and quite frankly, I think that mainstream musicians truly do not deserve the fame and fortune which they have. I personally dislike mainstream music because I find that the quality is nowhere near the same level.
