I've been asked a lot lately by new players to "Lord of the Rings Online" what class they should play, so I made up this video. Herein I give my assessment of each class in LOTRO, and how they compare to classes in "World of Warcraft", to make it simpler for new LOTRO players (especially those coming from WoW) to choose a class they like.

The song included in this video is "Big Rock", by Kevin MacLeod. You can find Kevin at http://www.incompetech.com

  • um is it that hard to realize that wow did not come out before lotro i mean are you people that stupid enough to believe anything just to make everyone else think your right.....get some help from doctor stop smoking and stop trying to do whatever just to be right "THEIR JUST A GAME DAMNIT NOW SHUT UP AND ENJOY THEM" unless you dont have a life and just spend it argueing about fucking comp games and wich is better -_- god the people of today never learn

  • @SuperJacarei World of Warcraft launched November 2004. Lord of the Rings Online launched May 2007.

  • i find that most classes are mixes, this is just my opinion though

  • @pewpewmonger Exactly, that is very true. The point of this video was to try to pare things down to a basic view of each LOTRO class, and give - in general terms - the closest match to it as a WoW class. Some of those choices are more complex than others, obviously, but all in all it was successful for its time.

  • No disrespect but who cares about wow ):

  • @Kralkatorik True enough, but as was pointed out in another recent comment on this video, this video is over a year old. When it was new, LOTRO was getting new players from WoW, and was of use in that way. Now, over a year later, who cares about WoW or LOTRO?

  • @ThatsNotOriginaI Absolutely. LOTRO > WoW in every way, in my opinion.

  • @BellusScormus I would say LOTRO > WoW in MOST every way. I still pay for a WoW subscription every once and a while whenever i'm feeling tired of lotro.

  • *people of that shitty lying game so called wow but should be sued for ther shitty lies about everything* but thats what they want you to think secretly all game companies work together to make games for different systems just to get people to argue about wich is better and spend more money, also im not saying i dont hae a life i was just making a point

  • good vid, most people just guess on what the classes do and i hate that

  • @MrWarriorhobbit RK is more like a druid than shammy in healing. only similarity is the healing totem/rune of restoration

  • Rune keeper sounds like a shammy in healing and dps

  • a champion is not a hard hitter lols. disregard this. played a champ for 3 years and single target damage is less than ideal. Guards hit just as hard single target for the most part

  • @Ferui1 In my opinion WoW has better PvP and Monster Play needs improvement.

  • @ArtyomProductions bad pvp?

    that's not true ^^.

Have you ever heard of PvMP ?

That's a really unique style of pvp , that PROBABLY, only Lotro has :s
