@emperorpenguinsrule Oh ok. And yeah my recruiter is a good honest guy. Plus my older brother is in the AF. he says Ill like my job though it will be difficult at times. But they both said its better than Security Forces.

@chanmaster5000 It isn't that rare of a job, there are fuel shops that have 70 troops. And be weary of what your recruiter tells you, they aren't always trustworthy.

@emperorpenguinsrule My recruiter has said nothing but good things about the job. It seems to be a rare job though. I have yet to meet someone else who booked the job! I will cross train out of it later I'm sure so I can do something more exciting.

@chanmaster5000 I do enjoy it. It gets a bit tedious at times, but your coworkers make it all that much better.

@emperorpenguinsrule This will be my first job. I leave for BMT Jan 30th. Do you like your job?

I known some one you used to do this to SR-71 Blackbirds. He said that even with all the engines of planes he'd heard the sound of the blackbirds sonic boom would scare the shit out of him and his friend

Hey-ooo!! This is my job! I work on C-130s :)

@jc1234567890able Yes it is. That was a very small portion of what a fuel systems repair mechanic does. You've never had a fuel leak drench your BDU's with jet fuel, or been woozy from inhaling fumes. That stuff can kill you. All kinds of debris from the tank gets in your hair and it's toxic to the skin. A lot of the chemicals we use are considered bio-hazards and have to be disposed of as hazardous waste.. It's why you have to wear all that gear. It's a nasty job inside a tank, man.
