  • @elohelreh That makes sense. I'll have to check out her video for some ideas!

  • @dovedarby oh! i remember seeing DutchessGabrielle's video about her shea butter lotion. it's a homemade remedy by using water, shea & emulsifying wax. that reminds me of Egyptian Magick, how the beeswax gives a gr8 layer that doesn't go away pretty much until you wash it. i don't like how my face feels if i use oil alone after it's been absorbed either; but, the wax allows the ingredients to come together like in store-bought lotion. i completely forgot about that! i'm off to do research lol.

  • @elohelreh Yeah the equate isn't the best product to use but its been working for me for the last few years and I like how light it is. My experience using just oils has not been a great one...leaves my face feeling grimy and soon after it is dry again...IDK maybe I'll give it a shot again this summer and see if anything has changed. Thanks for the suggestions!

  • im really surprised that equate didn't rough you up earlier! mineral oil and all. glad it's back on track!! :) i wonder if you could use a lighter oil during the summer instead of a butter/oil mix. maybe just olive or jojoba? i use shea during the summer but i'm going to try something else this summer. vit e? i whipped a shea and mango butter combo for 1 hour and it's fluffy - not sure if it's light enuff tho. but it is simpler to put less the more fluffy it is. i gotta test it out too.

  • @GooGoo32 Thanks for commenting and letting me know you share my pain..haha. It was BAD! So glad it has cleared up. I'll look into that RX For Brown Skin...thanks!

  • Yes, my patches are in those same areas. I wonder if it has something to do with glands or something. in the corner of my mouth and underneath my mouth. I hated it because I couldnt wear lipstick and it looked crazy..like I had herpes or something. The only thing that helped it healed was exfoliating, 1% hydrocortisone and shea/olive mixture. Also RX For Brown Skin works great for fading the dark spots. It doesnt irritate at all.
