Your 4gb of RAM is completely wasted on such a poor setup!
CPU phails.
U have badly matched the hardware, a dual core CPU with 4 gb of RAM should wake up the second Vista has started.
The word is Consistency "Con-sis-ten-see"
Also MAC OS X "Mack _ Oh-Ess-Ecks"
You do not need to defrag Vista unless you have turned the auto defrag off.
Vista likes to end all its running processes before shutting down.
