I loved Melanie!! I remember Melanie with great admiration & fond memories of that era!! Growing up in the 60's & 70's and learning to sing to her songs! I still have 45's! [Oh maybe thats I sign I should really clean out my garage!] How telling is THAT!] How many years ago were 45's...Singles they were called!

@BakkiBoo no way, you keep your 45's!!! lol... I still have hundreds myself. Ya know, my daughter was in 1st or 2nd grade and the school arts class showed them items from the past.. historical items. My daughter came home excited about this thing she saw... she called it a "CD on a stick." Took forever to figure out what she was talking about but we eventually got it. (record & record player) Heavy sigh... records are historical items. lol

@BakkiBoo I use to have a record player in my car that played 45's. I had a rack that held 50 of them. Also had the back speaker hooked to a reverb. Still got a lot of of them 45's on the top shelf in the closet. Back then I thought those day's would never end. I really miss them.

I remeber hearing her when I was in Vietnam on AFRTS. When I got back to Subic Bay for a few day's I got to see her picture. It was love at first sight like it probably was for thousand's of GI's over there. I bought a couple of her albums when I was in Tiawan. Back then you could by newly released albm's for 50 cent's an album. I bought Beatles, crosby-Stills-Nash & Young, Animals, Dave Clark 5, and more for $20.00. Over here, Probably $200.00 plus. They didn't play to many times. Cheap vinal.

wow ...love this...rem as a kid finding my dads old melanie lay down Candles in the rain album..playing it half stoned...mid 80's & falling in love with this woman......beautiful eyes & voice to match! just turned 40...& yes still never fell out of love with this lady
