  • Scrub brake on the right rear?

  • @turfshredder friction brakes on both rear tires. With my high torque cam I can still burnout with the friction brakes pressed as hard as I can.

  • @redneck9507 Oh I see. May I ask what cam grind you have?

  • @turfshredder Its an NR racing 274 series cam with square lobes. I run it with 1.2 billet rockers. It was recomended to run with 1.3 ratio rockers but I am experimenting with a stock clone carb that I bored, milled and ported myself. I sold the kart before I got to see if my carb was up to par or holding me back. In this video I was actually running the stock clone flywheel (dangerous). Because they sent me the wrong flywheel and I couldn't wait to drive it.

  • @redneck9507 Wow! I thought it was bone stock! You've got a powerful cam. I'm running the Dyno CM from ARC racing. It's got 236 degrees and .345 lift with 1.3 rockers. I am running a stock clone carb, but I have done tons to it including boring and polishing it to 17.3 mm, running a #95 jet, and milling the throttle shaft. I have bigger valves and huge ports in my head. The block is zero decked and the head shaved .045 for 11.2 compression with a .027 gasket. I guess 15 hp with an open pipe.

  • @turfshredder Try it with your stock muffler if you can get it to run. Like I said I had to cut my up and reweld to make it run. But it makes these little motors sleepers. I did a little port matching with my head myself but you should look into the 14cc head off the 160 and you can probably run 13:1 compression. If I still had myne I would do that. What fuel pump are you running. I always liked the walboro pumps but I heard the mikuni pumps are a little better. Also how is your pulse set up?

  • @turfshredder and by the way I had a header for it but I had the stock muffler on it to please the neighbors. It wouldn't run with the stock exhaust at first so I cut the exhaust up a little to give some flow but not to much So it stays quiet.

  • @redneck9507 I tried to rev my motor with the stock muffler and it choked! Haha! I don't want higher compression because I don't race my motor yet. But, I can always raise it next year with a thinner gasket. I'm just running the stock fuel system for now - no aux. tank, no pump. But next year when I race, I will convert to a Mikuni round pump with a valve cover pulse. Walbro pumps work well, but they are better for budget setups due to their plastic construction. I'll post some videos soon.
