  • Good pick, you called it. Actually Ward and Dirrell are scheduled to fight in stage 3 of the tournament, should be interesting.

  • thanks, and I never knew Ward and Dirrell fights in the 3rd round of the tournament.

  • Froch and Kessler will be entertaining because it is two Brawlers but Kessler has a LITTLE more skills so I think he will win

but Ward speed will be a serious problem during this Tournament

  • I think Kessler would win also by knock out.

  • When Kessler was clinching Ward he looked like he was holding a bag of Shit... He was not comfortable at all!!! Fighters are going to use that against him!!!

  • damn thats jus anotha scratch on calzaghes legacy..he was alredy thought of as a fighter that fought bums & ol legends..his best win was against kessler who jus got dominated by andre ward who only got 20 sum odd fights...lol..kessler is a joke..therfore makin calzaghe look like a joke..ward beat kessler twice as bad as calzaghe did at that..damn shame..46-0 dont mean shit if u fought tomato cans & nobodies

  • We have another great Champion on the rise!!! A few more fights and I can see Ward knocking fools out regularly. He gets a little over anxious at times, but with a little bit more experience he is going to be able to set up his punches better!!! Watch out!!! Ward is giving no passes!!!

  • Though, for you to say "there was no danger of a KO" is completely illogical and i'll explain why. He was being blugeoned and bombarded with punches, he had 2 very nasty cuts and complained in the 7th and 8th about not being able to see.

We all know that the punches that hurt the most, are punches that are not seen. The technical decision ensured Kessler's safety, there was a DEFINITE chance of a KO, keep in mind TKO is still a KO too and Ward was certainly on the verge of that.

  • I've watched the fight twice man, he is hurt by a big right hand, his knee's buckle and he clinch's. That one was obvious, it's not an arguement, it's fact, go and rewatch the fight yourself.

Don't be upset and offended, no need for anger, this is just boxing analysis dude.

  • mate, fuck off, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about so I am not going to waste my time arguing, ward was connecting a lot and with snap in his punches, but kesslers legs never went and there was no danger of a KO

  • What fight was you watching? I saw Kessler hurt on numerous occassions. Most times Ward was initiating the clinch, but after Kessler was hurt (even the first time) he was the one who elected to clinch. You saw his legs stiffen and weaken.

He would've got knocked out, the left hook was getting to him way too often and it seems Wards right hand was still being thrown with a lot of snap and power behind it in the late rounds.

I believe the headbutts saved him too, if not a KO atleast a TKO.

  • Kessler was rocked atleast twice in the fight but most of all he was out boxed.

  • Kessler was hurt......Physically and Mentally.

  • @lemigod

there is no way kessler was going to be knocked out, he was never hurt

kessler did not perform and ward very much did, i would still pick kessler to win 8 if they fought 10 fights
