Backyard mechanic demonstrates how easy it is to install piston rings from the crank side of the engine engine block with just one person.

No dead blow hammer or pusher needed. Save your cylinder, piston, rings and fingers from damage. www.ezpistontool.com

  • This guy is a fucking genious!

  • Excellent video. I want one.

  • @wchabotte close, it's a class 2 fulcrum. An example of a class one fulcrum is a seesaw, the fulcrum is between the force and the load. A class three is when the force is between the fulcrum and the load, such as tweezers. This invention is a class 2, the load is between the force and the fulcrum like a wheelbarrow.

  • @unapro3 Class 1.

  • I think by the time you have to set it up you would have it done already. I think the main advantage is to have a ring compressor that can be locked in place, as shown in this video. That allows a hand up inside the block holding/guiding the conrod whilst you tap on the piston head. Keeping a pulling motion on the conrod as you go will stop the piston bouncing out allowing the rings to become free.

  • @wchabotte ah yes,but which class of fulcrum?

  • @DALE97DSM i believe it would, 4 cylinders have to have head bolts right? Thanks for your interest Bob

  • You better get a patent before someone else takes it......

  • Silly, question would this work on 4cyl engines also. This would be a cool tool to have. I'm putting this on my X-mas list.

  • genius!!
