The Escape of Jonah - BU CFA Concert Hall March 1 2011 -- early rehearsal clip

The New Engand Conservatory Vocal Jazz Ensemble with composer Matti Kovler at the piano in an early rehearsal of his "The Escape of Jonah", English lyrics by poet, Janice Silverman Rebibo, directed by Michael Rotenstein, with Ezra Weller, trumpet, New England Conservatory-based brass and chamber ensembles and the NEC Vocal Jazz Ensemble under Dave Devoe. Featured guest soprano: Reut Rivka.

The concert will also include an additional work by Kovler: Here Comes Messiah!, scored for soprano and chamber ensemble, performed by Reut Rivka and the NEC-based chamber ensemble, directed by Masha Nemirovsky, libretto by Janice Silverman Rebibo and Matti Kovler.
