First ten minutes of the 1979 film THEY EAT SCUM by punk filmmaker Nick Zedd. It's been out of print for around 20 years, so this was ripped from a very old VHS cassette.

thanks for posting this. I've been trying to study the CoT for the last year adn a half, and it's hard to track everything down. Zedd seems to be a far better promoter than filmmaker. I'm partial to the modern transgressives like Andy Copp, Bill Hellfire, and Scooter McCrea.

You can finally buy They Eat Scum on DVD--complete with, it seems, a copy of the original VHS box--but mine came from the original VHS. I don't think I need to buy the DVD...maybe...

What gave me a total "WTF" moment during this flick was the super rare live perfomance by Howie Pyro's NYC Punk group, The Blessed, at Max's Kansas City. Suzy Putrid and the Mental Deficients were also pretty killer, albeit they're a fictitious group.
