  • is he a new imam of masjidil haram?

  • Yes, he is one of the new imams

  • Is he related to saad al ghamidi?

  • I really can't say, but I don't think so. Saad al ghamidi I believe is from the tribe "ghamidi" whereas he is from the tribe "ghamdi."But Allah knows best I may be wrong

  • Mashallah, I always loved his recitations...

  • Islam is: the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the understanding of the Companions.

Prophet pbub drew a straight line on the ground and said,"This is the path of Allah." Then he drew some lines to the left and right to it and said, "These are the erred paths and on each of these paths, there is Shaytaan calling to it." Then he recited the following verse from the Qur'an:

"Verily, this is my straight path so follow it and do not follow the other paths that will take you away from the true path."

Assalamu Alaykum bruvs, just wanted to correct you since I am also from Alghamdi tribe. Al ghamidi and Alghamdi are the same but ppl-as you know- write names according to the way they hear it, innit. Therefore, the right spelling is Alghamdi NOT Alghamidi.

So, to make it easy for you to understand, they're from the same tribe- which is very huge- but not from the same family.

    I hope that helped.

  • is this an ordinary daily prayer in makkah?

  • the person repeating the imam's takbir is called the Bilal. there were no mics during the prophet's time (pbuh) so bilal had to repeat the takbir laoudly for everybody to hear

  • because theres a lot of ppl so they can hear them incase

  • Salam to all muslim brothers and sisters. Brother british fever 456, I think this is done in case of a large gathering like in both haramains, where huge number of people offer salaat together and many people pray very far from the imam so as a result the takbeers are repeated so that every one can hear properly. Ieven saw it taking place in some masjid in my country in large jammats.

Well, btw Allah knows the best and may Allah forgive me if I say something wrong.

    Salaam again to all.

  • Not at all. But like to know why.

  • Do u have any problem with it?salam

  • Is this unique to masjidul hairaam only then? E.g. local mosques here in the UK don't have a second person repeating "Allahu Akbar" after the Imaam.

  • to follow the sunnah
