I love Day of the Dead art, and since it's nearly August I figured I would start practicing. I am still thinking about how/if to color this if you have any suggestions :)

@jacobR1377 When did I ever say that Day of the Dead was like the Mexican Halloween???? I haven't said anything but let me see........"I love Day of the Dead art". So while I understand what you're saying, this isn't exactly the arena for it. Please take your criticism and apply it somewhere that is actually warranted.

If I never read what you said to @jacobR1377, I would have never fully understood what day of the dead was. I think I confuse it with Cinco De Mayo for some reason. But firstly your drawing is really nice! Secondly, I think I want to draw one not because I think it looks cool but to honor people who were very close to me and now in a better place. So thank you @yourmixxxtape and @jacobR1377 for inspiring me for such a wonderful idea.

So if your just looking to get a "cool" tattoo of a day of the dead skeleton head at least honor someone you love that has passed on. It would make more sense in my opinion. Or if your Mexican Decent it makes perfect sense.

Day of the dead is a tradition Celebrated in Mexico. This is one of the many reasons I'm proud to be of Mexican Decent. Such pride and love for our Anceint Ancestors and the Traditions that have been passed down. Now its becoming mainstream and people make the mistake of thinking its the way Mexicans Celebrate Halloween. When in fact it has nothing to do with the American Celebration of getting dressed up in a costume and going door to door for candy. Its a Celebration for our dead ancestors.
