Kata is the basic of Judo throws. To understand how to throw in competition, u first have to understand how to do katas. Don't act as if u know, if u don't. By all means despise kata forms. Good kata dont make a champion. But a champion with bad kata seem equally strange. Besides, a footballer who can score 20 free kick and dribble amazingly but cant strike the ball properly with instep foot, is equal to competitive judokas who dont spend effort on basics, that is kata and footwork.
:) sorry mate but sir john baylon have proven himself over and over again of various grappling and judo competition. i think your barking at the wrong tree my friend. he uses those technique on real match and hoping youll research more about him.
Decent performance, but the throw at ~3:00 is a sasae tsurikomi ashi.
And, as posted on other nage no kata videos this hurts my eyes. This is by no means a good demonstration of the nage wazas. Seriously; not considering that the ura nage was only shown to one side, this technique doesn't work if performed like that. Or maybe it does, if you are twice as strong as you opponent.
Sorry for being so rude, but this is why we will never get competitive judokas to spend any time or effort on kata.
sir gilbert, you are great.
always my idol :)
