Serious Sam: The First Encounter - Sacred Yards Part Two {Secret Level} [Remaining Secrets Found]

Difficulty: Normal
Secrets in this part: Seven
Secrets: Ten

Those crafty Scorpion Arachnoid... things. Always spawning on ledges in ways in which it gives me a fright. Secondly, at 6:33, I thought I could take out all three Aludran Reptiloids with one cannonball. I nearly did. Sort of.

You can either skip the long walking part around the pyramid or you can persevere and listen to the music whilst each Secret is found. Personally, I like the music for this level so the choice is up to you.

The secrets found in this level are the last in the game as the final level, The Great Pyramid, doesn't have any. If you're playing the original version, that is.

Secret Four: In the area with the Pyramid, head left around the outside until you eventually come across a Secret Serious Pack in the far corner (2:26).

Secret Five: From Secret Four, keep running around the outside of the Pyramid until you reach the opposite corner where you'll find a Secret Heart power-up (3:13).

Secret Six: Kill all of the enemies in the area and then head to the front of the pyramid. A door will have opened with a usable button inside. Two Croteam Heads on their 'contraption' will warn you NOT to press it. Do so anyway (4:27), and the Pyramid will 'explode' revealing it to be built out of a pile of Secret Crates

Secret Seven: Go back into the original area where the Gold Sphinx resides. Rotate the middle platform to the left but DON'T press the button on the ledge there. Instead use it as a stepping stone to jump up onto the ledge above it. Jump over to the ledge where the Adult Arachnoid spawned before. Some Secret Full Armor awaits (5:34).

Secret Eight: Use the same method used in Secret Seven, but this time, rotate the middle platform to the right. Jump up and over to the ledge to find a Secret Heart power-up lying in wait (5:58).

Secret Nine: Use the same method performed in both Secrets Seven & Eight but this time, point the middle platform straight. After jumping on the button, jump through one of the small gaps on the ledge to reveal a Secret Entrance to the Gold Sphinx (6:19). Much quicker than the normal route. I don't know what it is since I've never done it that way.

Note that a message displays after collecting the Gold Sphinx stating that a mechanism is now activated for unlocking (6:25).

Secret Ten (Final Secret of the Game): After collecting the Gold Sphinx, jump into the water and shoot the solitary platform that is raised with a Rocket (7:06). This will then activate and raise a platform on the opposite side out of the water. It will then move over to the right hand ledge (7:12).

Not much use at this point, I know, but a Secret's a Secret.

The music is the best in a game I have heard.

Especially the last 2 levels of 2nd encounter.

Serious co-op anyone? Final area spawns SIX ADULT ARACHNOIDS. TWICE. While fighting other enemies.

The Ankh Pool is BY FAR the hardest level of this game.

So many deadly traps in the first courtyard and don't even get me started on the pool.

But the ending is the worst!

Yet I can whip this game on Serious Difficulty without dying ONCE!
