oh man.. i remember that game. as a sharks fan, I was mad we lost. had no clue it was right after the crash. looking back, i'm glad we lost.

I remember that night. I was lying down on my living room couch not feeling good. My mom came home and said oh man they are in overtime (she meant because I was using the TV to watch hockey. She isn't a hockey fan.) and I said yes mom and explained what had happened earlier in the day. She sat down silent and watched the rest of the game with me. She even got excited when the Sabres won. I cried when they won. I thought it was amazing after what happened earlier in the day.

I'm not from Buffalo, but there is something that Buffalo has, that MANY other cities don't have. A close sense of community. I love when I come to Buffalo and get to experience the community feel Buffalo has. The community feel is why so many ex-Sabres and Bills decide to remain in Buffalo after their careers are done. Herry Neale, Scotty Bowman, Darryl Sittler, Rick Martin, Rene Robert, Larry Playfair, Thurman Thomas...and the list goes on and on. Buffalo also has the best pizza! Buffalo is #1

I live in a small town about two-three hours away from Buffalo but I am a die-hard fan. When I heard about this I almost started to cry. That night when I was watching the game, my mom came home (she doesn't watch hockey and don't really like the sport) and said "oh they are in overtime" I explained what happened, she sat down and watched it with me and got just as excited as I did when they won. I got teary eyed af the reaction of everybody.
