Extract from the 1999 BBC documentary 'The Planets' regarding Voyager 2 flyby of Neptune in 1989 (interestingly, according to the Hubble telescope, the Great Dark Spot no longer exists).

  • I'm afraid your mistaken, there are in fact several hundred billion other galaxies.

  • How can you not like this planet? Its blue is beautiful, and it's almost a sign; in the coldest corners this planet stands out with its turbulent weather.

    One of the guys on the program is right, the Solar System is alive. In more ways than we know.

  • With me, I grew up always picking the randomest of things, and calling them my favorite, which is why I'm so interested in Neptune. It was always a planet we only talked about if we talked about the other ones to. Learning so much about it, it is truly a beautiful planet.
