Sonic 1: Labyrinth 1 107 Rings

Normally, everyone can only get 106 rings in this level. However, 107 rings are obtainable in the Japanese version of this game. If you try to do this, use the Japanese Mega Drive cartridge, or if you don't have that, use Sonic Mega Collection! Best of luck to those who take this challenge.

Question: Is it only the japanese version of this game that has that wavy effect in the water. Or is it only the mega collection version. Because the american version did not have this effect.

The version you see in Mega Collection IS the Japanese version. It's true that the American version didn't have that and it didn't have the spike bug either.

10700 additional points. The ring bonus is calculated by (number of rings * 100). Pretty good considering it's not possible to aquire the 50000 time bonus for this level :[

Not that hard to do that level SS... Try Scrap Brain 3 147 rings, I'm clueless on that one.
