Are these noisy planes?
-
@foxh8er Jeez. Im going to pittsburgh on a dash 8-q200, but i thenk that they might change it.
-
@TheBombardierq400 I don't know if anything happened per se, but due to seasonal loads the equipment might be different.
-
@foxh8er Why, what happened?
-
Nah, this time its all dash 8s or ERJ 134/145
-
@cinkmoot There are 737s available too...at least there were in the summer, I dunno about their current situation.

I'm headed to Newark for Christmas and looks like i'll shell out about $50 more and fly into La Guardia instead of taking a turbo prop into Newark. They have some ERJs flying but its too early ( 6am depating RDU and 6am departing Newark 4 days later)
I love my sleep

When I took this flight, the EWR-PIT route was operated by 50/50 Dash 8-Q400s and ERJ 145s.

i bet none of yall know colgan doesnt look in to the pilots they're hiring at all. they love to hire pilots with no experience.

@inlesrockstar And if every airline does that, then how would any new pilots get experience? A lot of airlines take people with frozen ATPLs, and then they get their type rating and hours. You get a lot of hours in pilot college, and you can always get more once you've done your licences before you're hired! And experience or none, all pilots are trained to more or less the same standards. No one could tell just by a flight if a person has 4 minutes or 40 years experience flying.
