  • I have ALWAYS wondered what the hose is that detatches from the fire truck at 0:12?

  • That's for the exhaust system.

  • @eje657west

Is it so when the fire truck is leaving the station, the exhaust doesn't go in the station?

  • I don't know. Our tour guide was talking about how it works, but I couldn't hear because of other noises in the video. All of the vehicles are hybrid, so maybe the exhaust goes into a filter of some sort? IDK.

  • Maybe I'll find out at the Grand Opening that will take place next week.

  • I guess so... LOL!!!

  • @eje657west And for when the truck is backing in someone is supposed to hook it to the truck's exhaust pipe. We have the same system in our firehouse.
