  • Just a tip, When you adjust your trailer brakes, Adjust them all as one would normally do & then back off the left front axle a 1/4 turn farther than the rest. That way if you lock up all of the other wheels on ice/snow. This wheel set should keep turning. As long as you have one set turning it will give you traction on ice/ snow & keep the trailer tracking straight 99% of the time! Give it a try! Always worked for me! I used the left front axle so I can keep an eye on them in the mirror!

  • Nice tip, thanks.

  • wow

  • YEP kinda scary, you drive ok. I wish most 4 wheelers were like you.

    That from a canadian trucker!

  • been there too, wyoming can really suck. i try to drive across at night alot as the winds die down quite a bit. as a trucker it scares me to have a light load in winter and be heading that way. pretty unnverving to get hit with that kinda wind on slippery roads

  • I have so been there on I-80. Spun out a couple of times west of Rawlins back in 1995, they shut the freeway down and we had to overnight in a school gym in Wamsutter. Crazy times. Good move on avoiding the jackknife.
