If u drop your shoulder it will rerquire you to strain your back and arms hitting is all about preference and wat makes u hit good and comfortably
-
wow this is ALL wrong, total opposite, you want to keep your shoulders even and point your front SLIGHTLY down and you ARE supposed to take a direct line to the ball
-
so who has a major league contract here?
-
This is fake you are not supposed to drop your shoulder because it can strain your arm and possibly pop out of it's socket! Don't listen and you will become better!
Dropping the shoulder can cause it to break or strained and you will never play baseball again!

@MyLobis 4 homeruns in one game? might be true but i highgly doubt it
-
@marseneault31 dont like the first comment there is nothing wrong with that and in fact if you look at a pro such as joe morgan who is known for trying to keep hat elbow down he actualy bring it up then down again to swing sooo your way is actually xtra movement
-
wow what a great thing to tell kids who go to youtube to learn to hit...just drag the bat through the zone and u will make more contact. this is a TERRIBLE video. dragging the bat and dropping your hands will do NOTHING except make u swing and miss or pop the ball up. There is no point in dropping your hands at the beginning of the swing. you shouldn't be making contact that deep on your body anyway.

This is wron ur not suppose to drop ur hands and samething goes for pitching almost ever pitchures elbow is above their shoulder
-
1. pitchers do not drop their elbow when they throw, that messes up more arms year after year, 2. you want to take the shortest route to the baseball as you can without dropping your backside(your elbows), it makes you pop the ball up and maybe hit a homerun once in a blue moon. this guy has no clue about hitting-wise if you want to learn how to hit talk to a former pro with experience firsthand.

man! this guy knows what he is saying, i hit 4 homeruns lasat game because of him. Nice!!!
1) do not tech a set position with a hitter to have his back elbow up, why waste the motion if you have to get the arm down anyways.
2) never teach pitching that demonstration on throwing was horrific and you have probably ruined more than 1 career if you have taught that before.
3) do not teach people to cast their hands away from the ball, you want to be on a direct path to the baseball you just dont want to cut yourself off by keeping your hand to close to your body.
thanks!
