Oops nevermind I found it. It's called a duiker antelope and they are quite plentiful i guess now that I just saw one hunted and killed. What a pity. But yes there are slits under and foreword of the eyes that house sensitive sent glands. Awesomely different animal. PS the rubes are happy and confused it wasn't on noahs shipping manifest. Lol

What I'm looking for is the video because the rubes I live with, even after seeing the pic and description, still will not believe that there is a deer with gills on it's snout... Ugh but I got to hear about an old white man living in the clouds all day with no photos, get that.

Help me out here. Have you ever heard of that Vietnamese/Cambodian deer that has gill slits on either Side of it's snout. I know it exists because I saw video of it on the news about 15 years ago. I just googled it and found a pick but no video. It was "discovered" as a new species that was also labeled endangered because so few have been seen or recorded.
