@TruthCrossing HOW on EARTH did you arrive to that conclusion? God owns exclusive rights to ALL PRAISE and GLORY for the miracle of redemption. The Bible does NOT consider faith to be a work that merits anything in return. Paul explicitly teaches that faith by its nature is the inverse of works: any benefit we receive from work is an obligatory payment for services rendered, whereas any benefit we receive as a consequence of faith is simply a GIFT, graciously CREDITED to our account. Rom. 4:4-6

@apollos6640 Yes I agree, but even our faith is a gracious gift, as R.C. Sproul said in the sermon jam (Eph. 2:8-9). Our faith does not come from within us, but from God.

@TruthCrossing No, R.C. Sproul is wrong on this one. I don't follow R.C Sproul, or John Piper, I follow Jesus Christ. Even John Calvin commented on Eph.2:8 and said, "He does not mean that FAITH is the gift of God, but that SALVATION is given to us by God. (Calvin's Commentaries, Vol. 11, 145). Even in the Greek, If Paul wanted to refer to "pistis" (faith), he could have written the feminine "taute", instead of the neuter, touto, and his meaning would have been clear. But he did not.

@apollos6640 Man you are one arrogant individual. "I follow Christ," as if those other guys do not. This is why I hardly get into these you tube discussions. Faith and salvation are synonymous, they are both given to us by God. If not then you are saying "faith" (or salvation) is of ourselves which is the opposite of what Paul actually says.

Arguing on YouTube is completely pointless.

I'm just here to say this: I am not a Calvinist or an Arminian (I'm Lutheran) but this is an amazing message. You do not necessarily need to apply it to double-predestination. Simply apply it to your notions of what God "SHOULD" be.
