Adapted from Jonathan Safran Foer's phenomenal book, and with the all-star cast of Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright, John Goodman, Max von Sydow, "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" opens in theaters on 20 January 2012.

The story follows a 9-year-old inventor searching New York City for a lock that fits a key left behind by his father, who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Director Stephen Daldry has been nominated for 3 Oscars, having directed "The Reader," "The Hours" and "Billy Elliot."
