Hi, love this birthday card kit by Martha Stewart Crafts. It has honeycomb! I used her kit cards and jazzed them up.

This video shows how I made the cupcake card. I made the mistake of trying to stamp Versamark in the card - it doesn't work like I thought it would. Most cardstock will get darker with Versamark ink and create a 2 tone effect. The paper in this kit is white core cardstock, so the Versamark ink did not darken the paper and it stayed wet! I ended up wet embossing the ink so it would dry.

I also used the accents in the kit in clusters, instead of having them randomly on the card page. I think doing this updates the card style a bit.

Used bling and pebbles, it looks great :) Thanks for watching!

  • maybe when the versa mark ink was still wet you could have used a colored embossing powder instead of the clear . . . .

  • @cardmakerme Yep, you are right. Great comment - it might help someone else out :) Thanks!

  • how did you make the cupcake?!???

  • @TheCatlover90 Hi Catlover90, yes that is the big question everyone asks me. But I haven't seen people make that honeycomb... yet. The Martha Stewart kit came with the honeycomb already made. All I had to do is peel. Sorry - I know I would love to be able to make that honeycomb stuff it is so cool!
