At the request of a Roland Clan user I made this video, demonstrating how to make some hiphop and rap patches.

I'm not actually sure where the sounds are from, I just heard an MP3 of them!

Hope you find this useful!

  • why is this so complex i want a keyboard where i can take most of my time playing it not figuring out how to make sounds

  • @djlaproductions After you've spent a while learning how synthesis works it just comes naturally.

If you just want beginner sounds theres hundreds of presets on there you can work from anyway, but they're not very original.

  • you forgot to show us how to save the sound so we can go back to it!

  • Sorry! It's really very simple however, hit the red "write" button, and F8 select on Patch/Rhythm/Sample Set, then name it, F8 select and choose a location, finally F8 to write the patch.

  • I really enjoyed your video its very technical + These parameters are very common in most Roland but they are very good!!! Like the color graphics!

  • To be honest I'm not really into that type of music, I only made this video on request for someone on the Roland Clan forums. It was just the closest type of music it sounded to me.

Yes! Boy can it! search up Dan Krisher and Jem Godfrey's videos if you really want to see what the Fantom can do.
