and i do. But i also say man u at times aswell. It has nothing to do with being a proper fan. Going to games regularly and supporting your hometown club is more to do with being a proper football fan.

i am a proper fan, seeing how i'm from manchester and have been going to matches all my life. no one gives a shit if u call them man u or man utd. Sometimes people go all out and call them manchester united, it has nothing to do with being a supporter, and we didn't win a title for a couple of years because we lost roy keane and our defence needed sorting out. Also we were getting predictable with van nistelrooy. You seriously don't know what your talking about if you think its coz beckham left

Firstly,it's "Man Utd" ; not "Man U".
Secondly,Ronaldo wouldn't have started a game for 3 years if Beckham was still there,because he was just TOO YOUNG and immateur!
That's why,without Beckham,we struggled for three years and won nothing except the FA cup.
It was only when Ronaldo mateured that we started winning consistently again;and now of course,Ronaldo's playing a huge part in United's success.
If Beckham was still at United,he could've played in a more central role like Giggs does now.
