Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 129
I. Nicht zu schnell -
In this 1967 live performance at Avery Fisher Hall in New York, legendary cellist Jacqueline du Pré plays the cello concerto by Robert Schumann (1810-1856). She is accompanied by Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
I never heard a better cello player than Jacqueline Du Pré. Her recordings always move me. She is the golden standard.

OMG another version of her fabolous Schumann :-OOOO Thanks!! She's easily the best ever in this masterpiece, so passionate, powerful, naturally romantic and deeply human in her expression! Mr. Robert Schumann should've listened to her Schumann!
I've read somewhere on the internet that also a DuPre's version of Brahms Double Concert should exist... I hope somebody will publish it one day!
