Reproduction 1930 Stella Guitar built by James Millinchuk. Come Back Baby by ? Performed by Keni Lee Burgess in standard tuning, key of A. I am currently working on a CD. This clip is for my vocalist, so she can make sure the key is correct for her voice.

COME BACK BABY

Introduction

Come back baby, Please don't go.
I know the way I love you, you'll never know.
Come back baby, let's talk it over,
one more time.

My heart's full of sorrow. Daddy full of aching tears.
You been gone 24 hours child, seems like a 1000 years.
(So) Come back baby, let's talk it over,
one more time.

You know now baby, Rome wasn't built in one day.
Can't we talk it over, before you go away.
Come back baby, let's talk it over,
one more time.

Break (Vocal instrumental, sing melody line, hum, etc.)

The way I love you, tell the world it's true.
Don't want nobody, nobody but you.
Come back baby, let's talk it over,
one more time.

Come along old freight train, mean engineer,
they took my baby, left me standing here.
Come back baby, let's talk it over,
one more time.

Oh if I could holler, like a lumberjack,
I'd climb this mountain, call my baby back.
Come back baby, let's talk it over,
one more time.

  • Nice ... I've been listening to the CD recording with Kasoundra's vocal and it's been haunting me ... that's an excellent cut ... the entire CD is very nice ... thanks to you and your collaborators

  • @Wats4Crick Thank you for purchasing my CD and taking the time to provide some feedback. Much appreciated. Making the CD was a lot of fun. It basically got created as it was being recorded. I gave the other artist's freedom to express themselves in their own way. The final result was an enjoyable surprise for me too. Enjoy.

  • great finger work ... is there tab for this??? would love it.

  • @cjzurcher Thank you for your comment and interest. I learned this standard tuning version from a Stefan Grossman instructional audio lesson. Visit his site for more information. Enjoy.

  • Nice cover, good timing, good chops

  • @marting54 Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • @LTmattYT Yes, google Stefan Grossman or visit his site: guitarvideos

You may need to contact him because I am not sure what series of lessons contains this song. I learned it back in the 1980s while serving in the USAF. Originally it was a set of 6 audio cassette tapes. Today, they are available on CD or he may have made a video leasson. Thank you for your question. Enjoy.
