Computer Assisted Medical Procedures Institute at the Technische Universitat Munchen aims to bring technological innovation to medicine. CAMP is chaired by Prof. Nassir Navab.
The idea is to use a patient's CT or MRI scan. A doctor could then examine the scan on the patient her/himself or use it during surgery to guide him. The system merely presents patient specific data, it doesn't actually scan during use.

Hi VoluMedic uses CT or MRI Data for special effects. This is a plugin based on a 3D animationprogram.

Those images are reproducing the real organ or they are a projection of one drawing done before?!
