A famous song from Cabaret movie (1972) with Liza Minelli, Joel Gray and Michael York. The rise of Nazi-party (NSDAP) in early 1930s in Germany is shown very good in the movie.

A) It's a musical, so people are always bursting into song for no reason. (Watch Glee if you don't believe me.) (Or Les Miz.)

B) The song is adapted from an old German folk song, so in reality most (if not all) of them would be familiar with it.

Even what, 40 years later, I STILL get chills when watching this scene.

And yes, that is exactly what the old man is thinking. And it makes sense: in 20 or 30 years, how many former solders in Iraq and Afghanistan will be eagerly looking forward to the next conflict to pop up somewhere? And encouraging their kids and grandchildren to sign up?

State Interventionism is most certainly a left wing aspect, it does not mean it is completely left wing, but it is a left-wing aspect. "Anarchism is Socialism" have you heard of Free Market Anarchism?

Typically, the further right you go the more social restrictions there are, but less economic restrictions. The further left you go, the more economic restrictions/programs and less social restrictions. Nazi Germany had both economic and social restrictions. They were considered statists.
