Rebuilding Puma560C robot and getting it running for the first time.

Unimation / Staubli - Puma 560C. When we took it home it has juse been removed from a production line. Many of the cables had custom connections put in the middle of them. We had to resplice the Teach pendant, DVT, and an extra box that had held the remote power and teach/run controls. The main control cabinet also had extensive modification done to it so it was gutted and re-wired also.

I was able to get the original CS4-SB controler working. I have built motor controls before and I am still thinking about building some for this unit but right now the VAL-II language is very handy and I don't want to re-invent that wheel just yet.

Very nice.  I just got my hands on a PUMA 560 that needs some serious control system overhauling. Did you build the driver or get the original up and running?
