College Park's longtime Publix Super Market was demolished in 1998 and rebuilt that same year with a nod to its previous winged neon facade included in the new building. The neon in the center of the "wings" is normally cascading, but on this night it was still.
The roadside pole sign, which was original to the earlier incarnation of the store, was designated a Historic Landmark Sign by the City of Orlando in 1998. It didn't show up well on this camera, but the neon on the rotating wings is cascading.
Check it out at 2015 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL.
it looks cool on the outside but it is so crowded and small inside that it is a hassle to go to (but i do my shopping there anyway)....my store is way better
