I found some rather old chem sticks in my pack today. They were way out of date. Before disposing of them, I did a little experiment. Check it out.

  • go figure... i wonder what scientific results they go on when setting their expiration dates. good vid bro, thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for tuning in! I wonder too about that one!

  • I had some expired ones they did'nt work in cold temps used one at home lasted 2 days and was a 12 hr rated one.

  • That's interesting. I guess their are many factors that determine how effective the sticks are, such as storage temperature, humidity, etc? So far I have not been disappointed by any, maybe just luck...Thanks for watching!

  • I guess not!!! Who knew.

  • Excellent, great tip with the tins.

  • Thank You. Hope it helps.

  • Great vid. I'm just sorting through my EDC, and wondered whether to chuck my sticks that expired nearly 12 months ago. I guess I'll keep em in my pack a little longer! :)

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning?

  • i'm probrably the only who will ask what song that was on ur intro and outro of your vid ^_^ but also i have notice that the chem light i have last longer if broken in colder temperatures and havent expire had on during the winter last almost 48 hrs ^_^ love the vid kepp on postin

  • Where can you buy them online? (I live in Europe)

  • great video bro xD

  • thats funny! typical america. by date the older are small and the newer are bigger

  • just thought id mention glow sticks don't work when cold, low temperatures slow/stop the chemical reaction inside. however they will last longer in colder temperatures.

  • They come in handy when your car breaks down at 2am on a dark back road too, prob the only time i've ever really used them.
