The Focusrite booth felt like St. Crispin's day, what with all the happy Brits jumping about, smiling. The source of their joy may have very well been the Focusrite Saffire PRO 40, a firewire interface that offers 20 channels of I/O and a cornucopia of software controlled routing options to boot.
The finer points of the Saffire PRO 40 are discussed in this video; it's like you're right there, interacting with real British people! What you don't get is the smell of mulled-wine and sudden, overcoming awe and respect for Her Majesty. It's a proximity effect thing.
I have a Pro 40 and the Octopre MkII to match… Brilliant products… and regarding the latency… The firewire interface is so quick.. I have my latency (buffer) set so low that it isn't an issue…

The mixer can route inputs directly to outputs for low-latency monitoring, but, unlike the original Saffire, there are no DSP effects, so if you want to give your talent a vocal reverb monitor mix, you’ll have to monitor from your recording software and deal with some latency.

@sturoc0 so that means I can use a plug in like a reverb and sent it to a monitor mix that is zero latence!? I wish this works like the PRO 24 DSP, where you can use FX on the monitor mixes!

@ZinayH there are none in the hardware unit, it is in the software you use i.e. plug ins etc

what about the bilt in FX?
