PET is marked with the resin code of 1. PET is everywhere and in the textile industry is known as ... polyester. PET is safe for food contact products and you'll be amazed at what gets packaged in PET plastic.

  • Why do you talk to us, like we are retards? Dropping a plastic jar: “Don’t try this at home!” Seriously? Do yo think we’re so dumb we’re drooling, and will drop it on our own heads?

I watched the whole thing, expected a chemical explanation, got nothing, and I still don’t know what polyethylene terephthalate is.

    What a waste of time.

  • @Evi1M4chine I'm sorry that this video did not meet your expectations. Our goal is to show the properties of the different plastic resins. A drop test is appropriate because PET has a high shatter resistance level. Apparently the humor of dropping a jar of peanut butter from a forklift was lost on you. Our goal was not to talk down to you, or to imply you were cognitively delayed. I'm sure you will be able to find other videos that will provide you with the explanation you want.

  • Wow, Really? I liked the video, and didn't feel like someone was condescending. I did think the blaming Stephen part was really funny though.
