OTOH: The most magnificent adaptation of Shakespeare ever committed to film. Gielgud was surely the most sensitive interpreter of Shakespeare in the 20th Century. Most of his life he'd wanted to do a movie of The Tempest, finally he got his wish. It was one of his proudest achievements.
Also, one of the most beautifully photographed films of all time.
