You will never look at starfish the same way again! In this video a large starfish called a sunstar eats a fish, and uses its thousands of tube feet to get the meal down. These animals can grow over three feet across, and excrete their stomach to digest prey outside of their bodies. The stomach can be seen in the video, it is the white pillow looking parts. They usually feed on bivalves like mussels and clams, but this one found a dead fishy instead. I came upon the feeding sunstar at Cove 2 in Seacrest Park, Alki, West Seattle, Washington. In this video I also see a large lingcod, a fish of some kind guarding its eggs, and a crab eating a jelly fish. This was shot on a GoPro Hero2 camera, with an Eye of Mine flat lins fix. This dive was in December, and the water temperature was in the mid 40s. Cold water scuba diving in Seattle, and the Pacific Northwest, is an amazing experience. Puget Sound diving is often overlooked, but can be world class. Some of the shots were taken at Edmonds Beach. Thanks for watching and please SUBSCRIBE! @AdrenalineGirlUK Haha yeah we like it cold here in the Pacific Northwest! Having a dry suit goes a long way though.
