Ok, this one was requested so much, I had to do it...;) I had not played YYZ in a long time so I had to practice it a couple of times before turning the camera on. It's not 100% accurate but I hope you enjoy it anyway. The "glassy" sound in the middle is triggered by the Roland pad. It's the last video until the end of October. Going to Canada for vacation and catch Rush in Quebec City and Montreal! Can't wait!

  • Very good cover.I'm a drummer of 30 years myself and it's not an easy one to play.Very good job.I'm curious, what type of cymbals do you use?The same brand or a mixture?

  • @lysyrg25 Thanks! A full description of my kit can be found under my channel and links inside. I use a limited edition set of Paragon cymbals, all made together by Sabian to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 2112.

  • Dude,

You are a very critical judge of yourself. Every time you post a video you state that it is not perfect..or that you made mistakes.

This to 99.9 percent of the people listening is perfection!

    Excellent job!

  • @gibsonplayer8 Thank you! Well, I know how hard Neil worked in developing these drumming parts and how much efforts he put - and still put - in playing them perfectly. Since these videos are a tribute to him, the least I can do is to try to be perfect too, although it never happens. I have to be honest with myself but some performances are better than others.... ;)

  • I wanna know what that tingy thing you bang on in the very beggining that almost kinda sounds like a trianlge.

  • @zipperasp5465 This is a Roland electronic pad, which reproduces the sound of a crotale, as used by Neil.

  • @Astrotama Perfect performances are put together in the studio like building Lego. Live performances are rarely perfect. Even Neil makes the occasional flub when playing live. I watched him one night at the Gardens when he didn't catch a single stick for the whole concert. He kept spinning them, just missed every catch. I admired him for continuing to try. Esp in front of 18,000 people!

  • OUTSTANDING JOB .. KEEP IT UP

  • You should seriously look into a rack :P Anyway, great cover man!

  • Best ride pattern in music period. Love the hihat work aswell.

  • Dude...keep it up! It's a tough one and not everyone can get this song and probably more than 50% that try can't. I know for instant can't get it 90% correct, keep it up man!
