im chinese and have been to zhuhai once back in 90s, roads are impressive. for road cars. but i can imagine how hell bumpy these roads were to these GT race cars, and how pissed off drivers would be after an endurance race. not to mention watching ur car burning.

It was called BPR, this series became the FIA GT championship of today, though the cars also run at Le Mans and it's various series.
One of the Mclarens in this video won Le Mans '95 actually.
