"Spokane Gaming Compact", Niki Cleary, reporter. After sixteen years of negotiations, the Spokane Tribe agrees to a gaming compact with the state of Washington. The new compact opens the way for other state Tribes to renew their compacts, increasing the number of slot machines allowed.


"Lummi Healing Totem", J.D. Mowrer, reporter.

On June 10th, 1999, two boys and a young man lost their lives in the Olympic Pipeline Company explosion in Bellingham, Washington. The grief stricken families and close knit community, still carry the pain of the losses in their hearts. The Lummi Nation House of Tears Carvers created a healing Totem in honor of the victims and those they left behind.
