Ah...just read SteelCityBoilermaker, they certainly weren't calling me 'dude' then. Never mind, another time. Damn fine tune- just come across it myself, definitely one for the car!

Oh.....rather lacking in pathos, innit? Owning a tune with nuts like that has would surely compel you to have a good rant. He seems almost embarrassed to be involved in something a wee bit choppy

weak crowd thumbs up if you agree

These guys are next on my list to see live. I haven't yet but this video makes me want to even more

God, they sound amazing in concert

Could Xan possibly have anymore smooth swagger when he plays the guitar? He's so chill, man. I practically worship him =D
What gives? this concert is pants... they're playing so quietly it's like they're tryin not to wake the neighbors... and that crowd, the steadiness of the camerawork says it all... and when the singer breaks out with the clapping it just turns into one big occupational therapy session

Actually, the crowd was quite fantastic at this show. The venue was a smallish club and it was very intimate. Also, I recorded it with a unidirectional dynamic mic (Shure SM58) which explains why you don't hear much of the crowd. Dynamic mics also tend to be much less sensitive than condenser mics which is why it comes across as a little quiet.
As for my camerawork, don't hold my skills against the band :). It helps that I'm over 6' tall and the crowd was very considerate of what I was doing.

Yeah, I was disappointed at this live version of Comfort Eagle. The song has so much potential with its driving guitar/bass lines to really build people up, but this was just plain weak.

@SteelCityBoilermaker Don't be too harsh. John McCrea (lead singer) was tremendously ill the day of the show and almost had to cancel. So he had to check his vocals a bit to make it through the evening. As for the crowd, don't be too harsh on us either because there was in fact a ton of energy in the room. You might not be able to pick up on the energy due to the way that I recorded the evening (I used a unidirectional dynamic mic for the audio to avoid having the crowd drown out the show).
