@playuall2well yeah it seems that way, but he had said the same thing long before taylor swift. Back when he made covered in rain, he talked about the line "And come december lydia left, she mentioned something bout it being for the best" he said he didnt like doing that because it can take people away from the song & if its a real person, allow them to live on much longer than u may like. Imagine writing a hit sing about an ex then you have to keep singing about them for the next 20 years?
