Resistance 2: First trailer

Resistance fall of man was a launch game for the playstation 3. It had good graphics (not great but hey a launch game new hardware and new format), awesome weapons, a compelling story line, and 40 player online
Its obviouse that i am a fan of RFOM as i named my youtube account after its main character... Although i made a stupid mistake and mispelled it. The man who is the main focus of Resistance is called Nathan Hale so no i in the name :). So i was in love with the game and have finished the single player campaign all the way through 6 times now. Although facinated with the story and kept coming by the gameplay the only complaint i had with the game was the online which although large was rather chaotic and not much fun.
So you can imagine that when i heard that the sequel was finally close at hand i was forced to use the words of the incredible Blizzard Entertainment and say "hell, its about time". Although we havent heard much about the game since the game informer article i will now state everything we know about it and will post all further trailers and make updates on any new details.
1. What we know about Resistance 2
We know that it will have 60 players online battles. Now my problem last time was that it seemed as though Insomniac sacraficed fun for impressive onine size. It was rather chaotic and there was little team work... Oh and no viechles! What was up with that?? Come on the single player had some incredible viechles but the closest you got to one was the tanks lined up the side of the fence in the bus station. But here they're solving both of my problems. Now almost all combat is being spread around through squads and there's viechles... Damn clans are going to roll over and die when they here about this.
A seperate 8 player online co-op campagin. Online co-op for a good game is always attractive but a full seperate campaign with 8 players, wow. The gameplay in the co-op campaign is very diffrent in gameplay than its single player counterpart. There will be three playable characters. A heavy chain gunner, who according to insomniac games is "basically a walking tank", a black ops unit who is meant for long ranged combat and wields a bullseye with a scope (i find this really wierd because the bulseye was fairly inaccurate in RFOM1 i would have thought that the guy would be using a human carbine with a scope because its accurate and effective), and a medic who uses a gun that not only heals its allies but the more it does so the more potential it has to blow the brains out of your enemies. So this leaves just one major question un answered. Are those weapons the only weapons each class can use? Or are those just the ones they come with?
There is supposed to be alot more focus on character development in Resistance 2. it is true of course that Hale only had one major line in the first game but now it looks like instead of being narrorated he will take full control of the story. This will of course cause me to idolize him even more and could make him as big a badass as master chief.
Motion capture is being used in the development of the game. This means more fluid movments and if they pump up the graphics from the first games a much more believable senario.
Here's a bunch of random stuff. We know that there will be gameplay shown on june 13. we know that the basis for online and single player campaign has already been completed and now Insomniac are totally polishing the game up and testing the massive dedicated servers they will need in order to make the online game succesful.

No. They changed voice actors. Seriously for all I know it was somone in Insomniac games because Hale only had like 3 lines in R1 but this time he has several in the first cutscene

We don't know. I'm hoping like hell it does buy they've neither confirmed it nor discounted the idea. But unfortunatly I think not. Splitscreen can reduce connection speeds and with 60 player onlines that will probably be to risky. On the other hand the online co-op online might. There's no reason that couldn't except it possibly detracts from the experience... Although I don't see how that's Insomniac's place to decide.
