  • @deadmanprodincIt's not that simple,most of the times songs should be played using the original frets no matter what tuning you are using,that is because the open chords,such as the A one here won't sound really powerful and you will find trouble trying to reach certain positions that require an open string,with solos,etcAnother reason is,in this particular song,as Feedbackboy stated in comment above,if you actually want to play the Echord using the 6thstring you won't be able to

  • ....sorry, but the turnaround chord is E not D (its V chord in E)

  • Curious why tune down 1/2 step rather than just playing the same chords 1/2 step down? Great old song to know and learn and fantastic instruction by the way Marty.
