@jdurso Maynard said himself that that's why they are called A Perfect Circle. They complete each other musically and if you take one away, it would sound unconnected.

@March3Yahoo Josh is a professional drummer. he got the keys of Los Angeles for his portfolios for playing drums in a thousands of bands. it's what people do for a living ... if you're an engineer, Josh is a drummer. if you're a dentist, josh is a drummer and so on and so on ... nuff said

i saw perfect tool in Michigan Maynard spent the whole show bithcn' about some girlfriend he had when he was 18 at first i didn't mind but he kept on and on and on...i thought what the hell is a matter with him ..great singer but a mental wuss if he still obsesses about some chick he was with 30 yrs ago...

@vashtriger123 Wings for Marie part 1 and 10,000 Days (Wings part 2), secifically in the titles alone mentions part of her name. I think 21 and a half minutes singing a song about your dying/dead mother is a good way to say he loves her and will truely miss her, actually talking to god, asking him why he had to take her. That's my belief anyway.

What makes APC is the dynamic between Billy's guitar parts and overall arrangements paired with Maynards vocal melodies and synchopated rhythms... take one away and the whole thing falls apart, or at the very least isn't APC.
