Here is a video on making dreadlocks from scratch as requested. I'm working on a dreadlock-FAQ, that will be linked here anytime soon.
Thanks to my beautiful friend Lea for getting a dreadlock that day. Thanks to my handsome boyfriend Erik for assisting with the video. Please ask questions at galapril@gmail.com or at formspring.com/galapril. Be sure to visit my blog: www.galapril.com. Music is Sia with "Buttons". Thanks!

  • What is seriously wrong with this girl having armpit hair?? Nothing at all you sexist pigs.

  • yes!! SIA

  • If the girls are as beautiful as her where she comes from, i'm going to have to move there. LOL.

  • I know her :P!!

  • Women can still have hair under their arms and be beautiful -.-

  • @AliceBezzi Normal it is all part of the process. It takes about a year or so sometimes longer for dreadlocks to mature. If you want to you do not need to 'make' them just stop brushing your hair and it will lock up on it's own. Make sure you wash your hair with non residue shampoo. Just separate the locks that are to big for your taste and you will have healthy long lasting locks.

  • @comekissme1 I have super straight blond Norse like hair and it is locking up fine with out rubber bands but I do agree that it takes a lot longer then thick curly air for sure I'm just saying that the rubber bands are not necessary and even not good it can cause damage to the roots and for knotting up the hair needs to move around the bands prevent this. If you want to do it then go for it all I'm doing is giving advice.

  • @MsSilentchaos Well... What is the problem? I mean, what is it that you find weird about it???

  • @capitaindouleur they put the rubber band cause their hair is super straight..... ill grow natural.. for black thick curly hair its easier cause their root its harder....
