@Kolop315 I was just about to say the same thing :D
-
that sounds like THE best class ever.

Why do I have to live where I live? The only thing they have is web design and computer basics. I feel so deprived. Well back to teaching myself.
-
I'm very new to Blender, I have version 2.58 and I want to know how to get that little red and white circle to center on the object and quit following my mouse, please answer!

geez fifth grade i feel like......i got gip out of my education!!!!
-
@shainonn That's the same thing I'm wondering. I tried to rotate by pressing "R", like other tutorials say, but that only rotates the object and not all of the planes.
-
uhh im following your instructions but when i get to sculpting nothing happens when i sculpt

Jesus, fifth grade? This makes me feel old, I'm a college freshman and I only learned about this program a few months ago. You kids are lucky, when I was in fifth grade all they taught us was powerpoint and kidpix. Also good tutorial, although you definitely have the tone of a teacher hahaha

i just tested that, using an unapplied multiresolution modifier+ a particle system works :) (the particle modifier has to be below the multiresolution modifier)
I don´t know how that worked in blender 2.49 but maybe it could work, if the multiresolution is first...
thank you for the fast response :)

@ffKingcreole
Good deal. When the kids are working with this stuff, I need to have an arsenal of solutions.
Thanks again,
Josh

i´m sorry if this might sound rude but: the multiresolution is NOT surposed to be applyed. thats the special thing about multires: you can sculpt it without applying and model on all of the different layers of resolution. The way you used it, you could also use a simple subsurf modifier and get the same result. anyway thumbs up for showing the power of blenders sculpt tools :)

@ffKingcreole Thanks for the response. Once you add a particle system to the model though,
I'm pretty sure it has to be applied. At least in versions previous to 2.49, once you start to add hair,
multi-resolution that hasn't been applied prevents the particle system from appearing.
Sound about right?
Thanks for the feedback. It's all about discussion in here.
