The SS Great Britain, a pioneering iron hull steam ship operating over the past two centuries until it was abandoned on the Falkland Islands, is now a popular tourist attraction in Bristol.
I went to visit with my cousin, last having visited some 30 years ago, when it was little more than a ship wreck.
You can easily while away a couple of hours here, as there is a lot of detail in the restoration work. For me, the most interesting parts were inside of the hull, with restored cabins and interiors, giving a realistic feel to what it would have been like spending months at a time on board this ship. In fact, it was so claustrophobic, and starved of oxygen, that I started feeling faint while listening to a lecture from the ship's surgeon about early anaesthetics!
Oh I just loved to hit with club musik trash when I click on thing!
